This Ain’t No Hobby…
Amazing to think that almost 15 years have gone by since I first started working in the world of fitness. I’ve worked the front desk at a big, chain fitness club, as a beginner coach helping develop a fitness program at a martial arts academy, which led to Head Coach, and then ultimately to the Director of the program. About 8 years into my journey I finally fulfilled my dream of starting my own gym, Boulder Athletics, which I still own to this day. My journey has been amazing and over time my passion has just grown stronger. At my core, I truly believe that coaching is what I was put on this earth to do.
I have coached thousands of people at this point, however, I always felt I could provide more if given the opportunity. A lifestyle created by fitness leads to incredible opportunities, self-belief, self-discipline, and just all-around ability. Sure, aches and pains come from working out, and sure, there are things in life that we must eliminate in order to achieve our most fit selves. But, it is worth every bit in my eyes. I would much rather have the aches and pains that come from a life pursuing my highest level of fitness over the ones that come from a sedentary lifestyle. This is certainly not solely motivated by aesthetics, although I’d be lying to you if I said that wasn’t a welcomed perk. Being as fit as possible allows you to approach life in a myriad of ways that being out of shape just won’t allow.
This is the lifestyle I have chosen and I wake up every single day with an almost single focus, improve, stay on the path, and believe in the process. This has provided me so much in my life and I want to guide those who want the same down this life-changing, life-enriching journey. A journey of health, ability, and prosperity.
