To live BLDR…
Let me begin by sharing that much of what exists is beyond my comprehension. Yet, there's one passion that has held me in its grasp for nearly two decades: fitness. But it's more than just fitness—it's a quest for peak human performance through health and exceptional fitness levels. This obsession is hardwired into my being. And it's not about seasonal aesthetics or specific muscle groups.
What truly captivates me is the journey of enhancing my mind and body through rigorous movement — the sweat, the discomfort, and the rush of dopamine and endorphins. I embrace the struggle, or what I like to call 'type 2 fun.' At 35, I've spent 16 years committed to strength and conditioning, not to mention an abundance of activities like golf, mountain biking, skiing, and the occasional bungee jump. I'm perpetually on the move; it's in my DNA.
This journey has profoundly shaped my perspective on life. The discipline of daily gym visits has revealed my true capabilities and the immense potential for change and growth over decades. Conversely, it's also shown how easily things can deteriorate without care and attention. I believe that embracing fitness is a pivotal life choice, one that enriches every facet of your existence.
We must think & train BLDR
Reflecting on my past, the 16-year-old me would never have predicted the life I'm living now. While I'm not a millionaire (yet), the wealth I've amassed in health and direction far exceeds any monetary gains. This life is the fruit of two pivotal decisions: enlisting in the Army at 19 and my dedication to fitness. These choices have sculpted me and instilled invaluable lessons.
My message isn't a recruitment call but an impassioned plea to ignite a desire for personal health and fitness. It's about goal-setting, discipline, the life-altering power of consistency, and the confidence and humility that comes with genuine effort. Whether it's the resilience to push through or the satisfaction of physical achievements, the benefits are abundant.
As I conclude, know that I'm proudly one of "those guys," constantly planning my day, food, and life around my workouts, and I fervently wish for everyone to experience the transformative power of a life dedicated to the pursuit of fitness. Dive in, embrace the sweat, stay driven, and think long-term. Live BLDR.
Be BLDR.
